X million people are exploited every day within the clothing industry, and the shocking truth is that many of our wardrobes are full of clothes made by those very people. Could it be that we are the exploiters? A sobering thought, and yet one which presents us with an amazing opportunity... The opportunity to clear-out our old clothing, commit to buying clothes that give producers a fair wage, and campaign so that our favourite shops would be pushed to reform their standards. the dream

the dream is to see a clothing industry restored

to be able to buy clothes from my favourite high-street shops, in the knowledge that as i dress with the kind of style and character that suits me, the person who made that clothing is also blessed with the same freedom

to know that as i pay affordable prices for clothes that i love, the person who made them is paid a wage that they can afford to live on

to be part of a nation which cares more about the well-being of those who made their clothes than about how good they are going to look next friday night

i believe the restoration of the clothing industry starts with the restoration of each one of our hearts and each one of our wardrobes
